Kielburger to speak on creating positive social change

Children's rights advocate Craig Kielburger will deliver the 2007 Iscol Lecture, "Me to We: Finding Meaning in a Material World, or How University Students Can Create Positive Social Change," Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Kennedy Hall's David L. Call Alumni Auditorium.

Kielburger is the 24-year-old founder of Free The Children http://www.freethechildren.com, a Nobel Peace Prize-nominated global network of children helping children through education. He is the author of three books, including "Take Action: A Guide to Active Citizenship." His honors include the Nelson Mandela Human Rights Award and the Roosevelt Freedom Medal.

There will be a book signing following the lecture, which is sponsored by the Family Life Development Center and the Department of Applied Economics and Management.
