Public invited to comment on bridge concept options

Four forums will be held on March 2 to solicit information from campus and community members regarding the design of barriers and other structural safety modifications to high gorge bridges on and near the Cornell Campus.

Since last summer, Cornell and City of Ithaca officials have been working on designs with architect Nader Tehrani of NADAAA in Boston, Mass. At the meetings, Tehrani will present three conceptual designs for each type of bridge (stone arch, pedestrian and vehicular), along with the pros and cons of each.

The forums will take place at:

Input can also be e-mailed via the "Comments?" link on the Long-term Bridge Means Restriction Study website, http://meansrestrictionstudy.fs.cornell.edu/.
