Assemblies Update, Week of March 26
The following are brief reports from the Student Assembly (SA), Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GPSA), Employee Assembly (EA) and University Assembly (UA). For more information, visithttp://assembly.cornell.edu/.
Recent meetings:
- GPSA: March 26. Passage of amendments to the eligibility criteria for byline-funded organizations for 2012-14, passage of amendments to the Bylaws clarifying the role of the Appropriations Committee and resolution proposing a Request for Proposals process for Big Red Barn's food service. Presentation on mental health and welfare.
- SA: March 29. Conversations with President David Skorton, Vice President Susan Murphy and Daniel Huttenlocher, dean of CornellNYC Tech campus -- Home of the Technion-Cornell Innovation Institute; and consideration of Resolution 40: Funding Guidelines for Recipients of Student Activity Funding in 2012-2014.
Upcoming meetings:
- SA: April 5, 4:45 p.m., G08 Uris Hall.
- GPSA: April 9, 5:30 p.m., Bache Auditorium, Malott Hall. Election of 2012-13 voting members and a resolution on updates to the GPSA Finance Commission's funding guidelines.
- UA: April 10, 4:30 p.m., 316 Day Hall. Continue discussion of Resolution 7, regarding Campus Code of Conduct Compliance with Title IX, which would transfer jurisdiction over Title IX offenses to procedures described in University Policy 6.4 in order to comply with the specifications of the April 4, 2011, "Dear colleague" letter from the U.S. Department of Education.
